Our Cattle

We currently have a head of 17 cattle. We have heifers, cows, and feeder steers right now.

Patches is our original cow that got it all started for us 18 years ago. Sarah was just 7 years old when she saw baby Patches at the Delaware County Fair. Patches was a given to us Christmas of 2004. She got it all started for us. Patches may be 18 years old and starting to show her age but is still leader of the herd and just as stubborn as ever. We love her very much and are grateful for everything she taught us.
Freckles is 14 years old and is due to have a baby this year. As a 12 year old she had a set of twins and you would never have guessed she was 12 years old. Freckles is one of Julia and Tracy's favorites. Along with Patches she was one of the originals. Patches and Freckles are the only cows we purchased.
Whisper is Patches's first heifer calf. Whisper is 13 and is due to have a baby as well. She has had many Grand and Reserve calves and has many heifers in our field. Whisper is one of Sarah's favorites as she is her emotional support cow. You would never guess she was 12. She gave us many calves and we still have Zoe, Bailey, Flower, Gail, Hope, and Jig Saw.
Zoe is Whisper's first heifer. She has been Grand and Reserve at many shows. Zoe is one that we can hand to anyone at the shows and she does her thing. Easy to work with. She use to be a big bully when she got grain but now nobody messes with her when she eats. Zoes has gone to practically every show sense she was a calf. Definently knows the routine.
Bailey is out of whisper as well. She is the biggest cow in the field. She was Reserve Cow Calf 2021 at NY State Fair and had the Grand Champion Bull Calf. She is powerhouse and is eye catching in the show ring. She loves her babies very much and has to have one eye on them at all times at the show or she is not happy.
Evangiline is the one cow in the field that is out of both Freckles and Patches line. She has become very chunky in the last couple years and we are hoping to bring her out to the shows this year. Very sweet to both cows and people.

Flower is one of Whisper's calves. Flower is very attached to Sarah. Flower was very upset as a yearling when Sarah had surgery. Sarah not go out and see her as much and she got out of the fense the one day and tried finding her. She got stuck in the door and ripped her tag out of her ear. We are hoping for a beautiful calf this year and she may be going to some shows. She is our first cow due this year.
Gail is three years old this coming month. Whisper is her mom .She is due to have a baby in May. Gail and Gabby are best buds. As is Hope and Hannah. Gail did very well as a heifer calf and we are excited for babies.
Gabby is a stunning three year old. Born out of Zoe. She is best friends with Gail. Gabby is very eye catching in the show ring. She did very well as a yearling and calf. We got a beautiful bull calf from her last year that will make a beautiful steer. Sarah is hoping for a beautiful heifer calf this year.
Hope is going on two years old and is a heifer calf of Whisper's. She did really well at the NY State Fair in 2021 and was Reserve Champion Heifer. We are excited for future calves. Hope is very photogenic and very easy to work with.
Hannah is going on two years old and is Zoe's baby. She also did well at NY State Fair in 2021 the judge went back and forth between her and Hope. Hope is very easy to work with and enjoys being pampered at the shows.
Jelly Bean is going on one years old. She was Zoe's heifer calf from 2021. She was our only heifer calf out of 8 calves. We are very happy with how stocky and deep she is and are looking forward to seeing her in the show ring this year. Jelly did very well as a heifer calf as well.
